If you are a breeder and want to advertise with us, we will list you for Free!

In the late 1940s, British breeders crossed Siamese cats with American Shorthairs, Abyssinians, and other shorthairs in order to achieve colors beyond the Siamese's traditional seal, blue, chocolate, and lilac, and to introduce tabby striping and tortoiseshell patterns to the points.A member of the Siamese family, the Colorpoint is Siamese in temperament and intelligence--active, demanding, vocal, loving, and smart. These cats love to play; give them a paper bag and you'll provide both cat and human with an evening's entertainment

Appearance
The Colorpoint Shorthair, a Siamese in nontraditional colors, is a svelte cat with a wedge-shaped head; large, flaring ears; and blue, almond-shaped eyes.
